The Game of the Week...

Drive Your Tractor to School Day at Kaneland High School.
...for Week Nine is debatable. There are so many good choices, such as Schaumburg (7-1) at Palatine (7-1), Mount Carmel (7-1) at Providence (7-1), Sandburg (7-1) at Homewood-Flossmoor (6-2), and Bartlett (6-2) at Neuqua Valley (8-0). All are good teams, and all should be good games.

So where will I be? In Maple Park, of all places. Huh? It's about 30 miles west of Naperville, and I'll be there to see 5A Morris (8-0) take on host 6A Kaneland (8-0). Why? Well, they're the only two undefeated teams playing each other this week (that I know of), and they're vying for the Northern Illinois Big 12 - East Conference title. And ... I've heard they're both good.

Want more choices? Okay, up north there's Grayslake North (7-1) at Woodstock North (6-2) and North Chicago (7-1) at Lakes (7-1). Way southwest, there's Plainfield Central (6-2) at Oswego (7-1). And way down south there will be Oak Forest (7-1) at Thornton Fractional South (7-1).

On Saturday, I'll check out St. Viator (5-3) at St. Patrick (5-3) in the city at 11 am. If that's no good I'll drive out to Glen Ellyn and watch Downers Grove North (5-3) at Glenbard West (8-0) at 1 pm.

Should be a good weekend.
