In the rankings after Week Six...

...Lincoln-Way East traded places with Glenbard West for the top spot in MaxPreps. Loyola moved up five after beating Mount Carmel, and Bolingbrook dropped eight to No. 14.

(Can the Raiders' Aaron Bailey come back after injuring his MCL this week? I don't know, but if it were up to me I'd tell him to sit out the rest of the season and concentrate on Illinois next year.)

As for the Chicago papers, how in the world can they rank Maine South No. 1? Shouldn't the top-ranked team have to play somebody?

Personally, I'd rank Lincoln-Way East (7A) No. 1 and Loyola (8A) No. 2. After seeing both teams play this year, I don't know who is going to beat them.

(All teams undefeated unless otherwise noted.)
