After looking at the rankings...

Lincoln-Way East gets my vote for No. 1.
...from the three main news sources this week, I decided that I didn't agree with any of them. (Surprised?) So I published a little Top Eight of my own from the teams that I've actually seen play this year, indicated by an asterisk. (^ indicates schools I've seen only on television.)

All teams undefeated unless otherwise noted:

1. Lincoln-Way East *
2. Loyola (6-1) *
3. Mount Carmel (6-1) ^
4. Glenbard West *
5. Marist *
6. Cary-Grove *
7. Providence (6-1) *
8. Crete-Monee *

Schools I would like to rank somewhere, but haven't seen play yet would be: Batavia, Wheaton North, Neuqua Valley, Waubonsie Valley (6-1) and Glenbard North (6-1).
