Some Minnesotans are concerned...

...about how Al Franken will represent them in the U. S. Senate. If so, the following video on David Frum's Web site "The New Majority" won't give them much comfort.

My first response to this would be to score one for the Republicans. But my second response would be to point out that Franken is a Harvard graduate. This alone doesn't qualify him for the Senate, of course, but it sure gives him a lot more credibility than all those Republicans who don't even accept evolution. And for all those Minnesotans who are worried that Franken might embarrass them in Washington, I would just ask, how could he possibly out-do Michele Bachmann?

According to Wikipedia, Al Franken graduated from Harvard "...cum laude in 1973 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science."

Thanks; I don't know where I read that. I saw somewhere else that he has a degree in general studies. Everyone seems to agree that he graduated from Harvard, though, so I made the correction.

By the way, you Dartmouth guys are a little touchy about Harvard, aren't you?

No! It's just that Harvard is the Dartmouth of Massachusetts.

Only joking of course. But the Dartmouth Track team did just hire two new coaches - one of whom is from Harvard.
