David Frum and David Brooks...

...are two intellectually honest and realistic conservatives. They are both critics of Sarah Palin and Frum was involved in a public feud with Rush Limbaugh. He's also urged Republicans to move beyond Ronald Reagan.

If the Republican Party is to have any future at all it should start listening to these two. My guess is that they won't, however; the GOP probably has at least one or two more disastrous elections left in them. Like an alcoholic, they probably need to hit rock bottom before beginning to seriously rebuild their brand.

In the meantime, if you want to visit a good conservative blog (and that's not an oxymoron), check out Frum's The New Majority.

David Brooks can be found in the New York Times, of course, and on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on Fridays.
