...diplomatic sources told The Daily Beast that Russian pilots will fly the planes due to a lack of Iraqi pilots with the proper training. Neither Russia nor Iraq has explained how the Iraqi air force could possibly have pilots trained and ready to fly the Russian fighters.
In an unrelated article in the Washington Post:
The stories, the videos, the acts of unfathomable brutality have become a defining aspect of ISIS, which controls a nation-size tract of land and has now pushed Iraq to the precipice of dissolution. Its adherents kill with such abandon that even the leader of al-Qaeda has disavowed them.
From beheadings to summary executions to amputations to crucifixions, the terrorist group has become the most feared organization in the Middle East.
Do you see where I'm going with this? God forbid the United States should listen to uber-hawks like John McCain and one of our pilots is shot down in Iraq and beheaded or crucified.
Let's just stay out of this.
