Ronald Reagan was right...

...about at least one thing: the United States is a "shining city upon a hill." We should never forget that in the debate about torture. As Americans, we should never use torture; leave that to the Nazis and others. We're better than that; or at least we should aspire to be. Never again should we allow our fears to trump our ideals.
