Elsewhere in 8A, No. 3 Downers Grove South (9-1) should prevail over No. 6 Brother Rice (7-3), although the Crusaders could take this one into OT.

In 7A, No. 8 Wheaton Warrenville South (7-3) should fall to No. 1 Lincoln-Way East (10-0), No. 3 St. Rita (8-2) will beat No. 11 Andrew (7-3) -- who? -- and No. 3 Crystal Lake South (9-1) should defeat No. 11 Carmel (7-3) in another barn-burner. Am I taking Carmel too lightly?

In 6A, No. 1 Lemont (10-0) should have no trouble with No. 5 Oak Forest (7-3), and look for No. 4 Joliet Catholic (8-2) to upend No. 1 Morris (9-1) in 5A. (My big upset of the night.)
