Diane Sawyer was named...

...to replace Charles Gibson as anchor of ABC's "World News." That's great; she's still nice to look at. But what I really want to know is, does anybody care? I mean, do people still wonder what will be on the news when they get home at night? Don't they have the Internet at work? And once they're home, don't they have access to 24-hour news on cable? Do they still walk in the door, fix themselves a drink, and run over to tune in the nightly news? "Shh, shh, be quiet kids! The news is on! I want to see this!" Does that still happen in America?

Absolutely. The best part of the day is watching Brian Williams and the NBC Nightly News. Some of us aren't keeping track of the news during the day or just focused on business events. NBC is the number 1 news channel with insightful coverage of the economy, the political scene and national news events. Besides, who is a better dresser than BW?
