Kuhn' Delicatessen & Cafe in Deerfield...
...is closed. I went there the other day for lunch with my friend Duane and it looks like it's been shut down for a while. Too bad; it was one of my favorite spots in the suburbs for a quick soup and a sandwich. Cheap, too. Oh well. We ducked into the Italian place next door, Ristorante Abruzzo, instead. I had been there once before for my next-door neighbor's surprise 80th birthday party. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and a small salad. A little heavy for lunch, I suppose, but it was good nevertheless. In fact, now that Tonelli's in Northbrook is closed it might be my favorite Italian joint in the area.
