If you don't read Edgy Tim...

...O'Halloran (and Mike Helfgot) in the Chicago Tribune, you're missing out on some of the very best reporting on Illinois high school football. Today, Edgy Tim points out that some of the most competitive programs in the state are 0-2:

New Trier, Hubbard, Naperville Central, Wheaton Warrenville South, Carmel, Barrington, Minooka, Lockport, Marmion, Geneva, Downers Grove South and York.

I'd like to add that last year's 7A runner up, Wheaton Warrenville South (above), and the previous year's 8A champ, Maine South, also began 0-2. 

0-2 is a hole, no doubt, but not necessarily a grave.
