While listening to Elizabeth Warren...

...speak to the delegates at the convention last night, all I could think to myself was: How can she be losing to a mediocrity like Scott Brown?

But then I remembered a post I wrote about a year ago. Warren, after all, is a law school professor while Brown is a professional politician. Even with President Obama at the top of the ticket, tons of money and a deep-blue electorate like in Massachusetts, the good-looking guy with the pick-up truck is still the favorite. I think voters will split their ballots and Brown will win.

So where will that leave Ms. Warren? How about a cabinet post in a second Obama administration? Or how about head of the SEC?
