...and Wheaton Warrenville South and St. Rita still top the list at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.Yesterday, the Mustangs defeated Jefferson City (Missouri), 35-14, as Jahwon Akui (above) scored four touchdowns. The senior running back ran for 222 yards on 30 carries, while the defense forced six turnovers.
This was a big win for St. Rita. Jefferson City is no pushover; the Jays have won ten state championships, more than anyone else in Missouri history.
Elsewhere, Joliet Catholic remains at No. 4, but Minooka and Loyola cracked the Top 20, coming in at Nos. 15 and 17, respectively. Also, the Trib has Stevenson "On the Verge."
