St. Rita drops to No. 3...

...in the latest Chicago Tribune poll after its unimpressive 14-13 victory over Fenwick. The Friars held star Mustang running back Jahwon Akui (above) to 92 yards on 27 carries.

Carmel vaults to No. 6 with its big win over Joliet Catholic; the Hilltoppers, meanwhile, fall to No. 8.

Stevenson climbs to No. 13, while Minooka remains at 14. (Keep your eye on the Indians.)

Mt. Carmel rejoins the rankings at 15 (just didn't seem right without them) as Loyola drops down to No. 16.

And Elk Grove Village joins the rankings for the first time this year, in the No. 20 slot, after its big upset of now-unranked Schaumburg.
