Mr. Axelrod's obit in the Times mentions some producing he did for the 1960s "psych-rock band" the Electric Prunes, above. (One of my all-time favorite names for a band, by the way.) It doesn't say if he had anything to do with the song, "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night" (which I always thought was, "I Had Too Much to Drink Last Night"), but it's worth a listen, if for no other reason, to distract us from all the craziness right now.

David Axelrod's untimely death...
Mr. Axelrod's obit in the Times mentions some producing he did for the 1960s "psych-rock band" the Electric Prunes, above. (One of my all-time favorite names for a band, by the way.)
