Was it his stance on immigration? Was it due to Democratic crossover voters? Was it because Fox News commentators kept bashing him in favor of his opponent? Was it anti-Semitism? Redistricting? All of the above?
Or was it much simpler than that?
Maybe people just . . . didn't . . . like . . . him.
Ask yourself: Do you know anyone -- left, right or center -- that liked this guy? Can you think of anyone who didn't think Eric Cantor was a two-faced, insincere opportunist? Do you know anyone that will miss him? Me neither.
