Two character actors from...

...my childhood, Russell Johnson of Gilligan's Island and Dave Madden of The Partridge Family, died yesterday.

Russell Johnson played the Professor, above, from 1964 to 1967. (Tina Louise, who played Ginger, and Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann, are the only surviving members of the cast.)

And Dave Madden, shown below in a scene with a very young Farrah Fawcett, played Reuben Kincaid, the Partridge Family's agent from 1970 to 1974.
