Before we get too carried away...

...with the new pope, let's remember that his actions will ultimately be more important than his words. And a piece in the Daily Beast this morning* is a reality check. In "Vatican and Pope Francis Seek New Demon Exorcists":

The Catholic Church says it's dealing with a spike in Satanic worship by training a growing team of specialized priests to keep the devil at bay.

Like everyone else, I applaud the new pontiff's change in tone. And I too want to believe he'll bring real change to the Catholic Church. But I'll still be watching to see what he does.
