Remember Peter Pujals, the quarterback of Loyola last year? According to one of my sources in the Boston area, the Holy Cross freshman "is burning up the Patriot League. I can see the kid has game."
From an article this weekend in the Washington Post:
Peter Pujals had 378 yards total offense, throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for three more as Holy Cross pounded Bucknell 51-27 in Patriot League conference play Saturday.
Pujals was 19 of 29 for 298 yards and also led the Crusaders (3-4, 1-0 Patriot) in rushing with 80 yards on 13 carries.
And from an earlier piece (my emphasis):
Pujals has burst on the scene by winning the last three Patriot League Rookie of the Week awards, and has put together two consecutive outstanding starts for the Crusaders. He completed 33-of-50 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns without an interception in a 41-35 triple overtime loss to Harvard on Saturday, one week after he had 415 total yards and four total touchdowns in a 31-28 victory at Dartmouth. Pujals has completed 71-of-108 passes for 764 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 167 yards and two scores this season.
