...are all in. Here are the Top Ten from the Chicago Tribune, the Sun-Times, MaxPreps and the six teams that I saw on Saturday.
Tribune:
1. Mount Carmel (1-0)
2. Loyola (1-0) @ O'Fallon this Saturday.

4. Lincoln-Way East (1-0)
5. Lake Zurich (1-0)
6. Downers Grove North (1-0)
7. St. Rita (1-0)
8. Neuqua Valley (1-0) @ Naperville Central this Friday.
9. Wheaton North (1-0)
10. Wheaton Warrenville South (1-0) @ Maine South this Friday.
Sun-Times:
1. Mount Carmel (1-0)
2. Lake Zurich (1-0)
3. Loyola (1-0)
4. Wheaton North (1-0)
5. Montini (1-0)
6. Downers Grove North (1-0)
7. Lincoln-Way East (1-0)
8. Bolingbrook (1-0)
9. Batavia (1-0) Hosts Richards this Friday.
10. Glenbard North (0-1)
MaxPreps:
1. Mount Carmel (1-0)
2. East St. Louis (1-0) Hosts Montini this Saturday.
3. Lincoln-Way East (1-0)
4. Wheaton North (1-0)
5. Crete-Monee (1-0)
6. Montini (1-0)
7. Neuqua Valley (1-0)
8. Lake Zurich (1-0)
9. Palatine (1-0)
10. Sacred Heart-Griffin (1-0) @ Rochester this Friday.
BOWG:
1. Mount Carmel (1-0)
The defending 8A champs have the winningest coach in Illinois history and are loaded with talent. 'Nuff said.
2. St. Rita (1-0)
Quarterback Tommy Mister is the Real Deal and the game against Mount Carmel on September 27 should be a doozy!
3. Marist (0-1)
The RedHawks almost beat Rita on Saturday night. Their next big test is Friday against Brother Rice. The Crusaders blanked Shepard, 42-0, in the opener.
4. De La Salle (1-0)
I wanted to rank these guys No. 3 but Mike Helfgot of the Tribune is right: "...ranked teams rarely give up 48 points."
5. Phillips (0-1)
The surprise of the weekend for me was Wildcat quarterback Dewayne Collins. I'll be watching these guys out of the corner of my eye from now on.
6. St. Patrick (0-1)
A much better team than they showed against Mount Carmel on Saturday. Look for the Shamrocks to finish at 6-3 or 5-4 and make it to the second round of the playoffs.
