Benzion Netanyahu, the father...

...of Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, died at age 102. I had never heard of the man, but after reading his obit in the Times, in which his views were described as "relentlessly hawkish," I feel I have a better understanding of his son.

But what really caught my eye was the name of the institution from which the elder Netanyahu received his Ph.D., Dropsie College of Hebrew and Cognate Learning in Philadelphia. 

Dropsie?

The school has since been renamed the Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Good move.
