Newt Gingrich announced...

...this week that he's running for president; Mike Huckabee announced that he's not. Ron Paul is definitely in; Mitch Daniels is still on the fence. And meanwhile, no one's happy with Mitt Romney. So whither the Republican race?

Let's check in with Intrade.

Mitt Romney is leading the pack with a 25.7% chance of winning the GOP nomination. Tim Pawlenty (remember him?) is in second place with 17%, Jon Huntsman is in third with 12% and Mitch Daniels, the establishment's candidate du jour, is given only a 10.5% chance of taking the nomination. (Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are way back, with five and three percent, respectively.)

Now who does Intrade think is even going to run? Well, Romney, Pawlenty and Paul are all a lock, of course, while Daniels is only at 50%. (So is Donald Trump.) And crazy Michele Bachmann? The Irish betting Web site has her chances at 78%. (Sarah Palin is at only 34.8%.)
