Winter in Chicago is half over. (Even if you can't tell from that picture.)
I
always tell people from out of town that Chicago is a really nice place
to live -- six months out of the year. From, say, May 1st until
Halloween the "Hog butcher for the World, Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,
Player with Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler; Stormy, husky,
brawling, City of the Big Shoulders" is actually a very pleasant place. But, as for the other six months of the year, well, you just
count the days until the other half arrives.
So, by my count, we're halfway there!
