Let's have an early look...

...at some of the big games this weekend, shall we?

Beyond everyone's Game of the Week -- Providence (4-0) at St. Rita (4-0) -- here are some of the other contests which pit two undefeated (or nearly undefeated) teams. The first six are my favorites.

Bishop McNamara (3-1) at Aurora Christian (4-0)
The Eagles beat their first ever Catholic League opponent last week, St. Ignatius. But can they handle a team like Bishop Mac?

Joliet Catholic (3-1) at Marian Central (3-1)
If the Hilltoppers prevail it could set up an exciting Week Seven showdown with Nazareth.

Stevenson (4-0) at Lakes (4-0)
Can the Eagles sneak up on big, bad Stevenson?

Libertyville (3-1) at Lake Forest (3-1)
Are the Wildcats for real?

Homewood-Flossmoor (3-1) at Lincoln-Way East (3-1)
Always a great Southwest Suburban Blue matchup.

Maine South (4-0) at Glenbrook South (4-0)
Will this be the year the Titans finally beat Maine South? No.

And the rest:

Curie (4-0) at Simeon (3-1)
Huntley (4-0) at Cary-Grove (4-0)
Hoffman Estates (3-1) at Fremd (3-1)
Rich East (4-0) at Rich Central (3-1)
Bolingbrook (3-1) at Joliet West (3-1)
St. Charles North (3-1) at Batavia (3-1)
Waubonsie Valley (4-0) at Glenbard East (3-1)
Hinsdale South (4-0) at Addison Trail (4-0)
York (3-1) at Oak Park and River Forest (4-0)
Glenbard West (4-0) at Hinsdale Central (3-1)
