...Colonel Potter on M*A*S*H, died yesterday at age 96. Morgan will always be Officer Bill Gannon, Sgt. Joe Friday's sidekick, to me. Here's Morgan in a classic 1967 episode of "Dragnet."

P. S. That's Olan Soule (a Mayflower descendant) playing the role of forensic chemist Ray Murray. Was there a 1960s show in which Soule didn't have a cameo role?
