Let me see if I have this straight.

In December, 2008, a young Arizona man was rejected for military service when he failed a drug-screening test.

Two years later, in September, 2010, the same man was suspended from Pima Community College and was told he would only be readmitted if he underwent a mental health evaluation.

Are you with me so far?

Next, in November, the man walked into a Sportsman's Warehouse in Tuscon (like the one above) and bought a Glock semi-automatic pistol.

(For those not knowledgeable about guns, like me, a 9-millimeter Glock is "extremely easy to fire over and over, and it can carry a 30-bullet clip." According to Paul Helmke, the president of the Brady Campaign, "It's not suited for hunting or personal protection. What it’s good for is killing and injuring a lot of people quickly.”)

Does all that sound right to you?
