In an article about the tea party movement...

...in the Times today, "Tea Party Set to Win Enough Races for Wide Influence," Kate Zernike highlights three candidates for the Senate who are pushing for smaller government for you but not for them:

Ron Johnson (Wisconsin) opposes government subsidies, but his company accepted grants to build a rail spur to a manufacturing plant.

Rand Paul (Kentucky) has advocated deep cuts in spending, but wants to end cuts in Medicare and Medicaid payments to physicians -- he is an eye surgeon.

And Ken Buck (Colorado) campaigns against earmarks, but asked his congresswoman for earmarks for a variety of law enforcement programs as Weld County district attorney.
