Sarah Palin has a perfectly...

...reasonable explanation for her "deer in the headlights" moment last week when she "creatively" recalled the midnight ride of Paul Revere: it was in response to a "shout-out, gotcha-type of question."

And I can sympathize with her. After all, I'm not so sure I would have reacted a whole lot better if somebody had suddenly quizzed me on American history.

By the way, what rude, gotcha-type question did that reporter ask the governor anyway?

“What have you seen so far today and what are you going to take away from your visit?”

That's it?

Or, as Joe Scarborough said:

"Everything is a gotcha question with her, isn't it? What newspapers do you read? Have you ever had Sanka? I mean everything is a gotcha question."
