Mark Sullivan anchors...

...the Loyola defense which held nine opponents to fewer than 10 points, including their first three Class 8A playoff opponents. In victories over Young, Fremd and Palatine, the Ramblers have two shutouts and allowed seven points.

Sullivan, shown above sacking Palatine quarterback Cody Bobbit in the quarterfinals, is the Catholic League defensive player of the year. Sullivan led the Ramblers this year with 10 sacks and 50 tackles for a loss.
