Big upset!

Elk Grove Village upended No. 7 Schaumburg, 36-34, as senior quarterback Nick Meyer threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 142 yards and two more touchdowns.

Shepard Little, Schaumburg's star running back, left the game early in the third quarter with a hip injury. The Saxon senior still managed to gain 166 yards on 17 carries and catch 3 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown.

(That's Grenadier receiver Kyle Pass, above, after catching a touchdown pass -- I couldn't resist.)

In other games, Glenbrook South beat Niles North, 49-7; Maine South crushed Maine West, 49-0; New Trier blanked Maine East, 41-0; Stevenson shut out Mundelein, 42-0; and Evanston defeated Deerfield, 39-10.
