The debate over the Bush tax cuts...

...continues in the U. S. Should the top rate be restored to 39.6% from the current 35%?

In the U. K., meanwhile, David Cameron (above) and the Tories are serious about trimming their budget deficit. In addition to making cuts in spending, they've raised the top tax rate to 50%.
