...that income inequality is a real "thing" in America these days, there's an ad on page A2 of the New York Times print edition this morning for "fringe sneakers" from Tod's (above) that can be yours for the low, low price of $675. (Yep, that's right, I didn't misplace the decimal or anything.) I don't know about you, but I spend about ten percent of that on new sneakers (and they don't look nearly that silly).

If rich people in New York have money to squander on crap like that, is it any wonder Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are doing so well this year?
