...there are sane Republicans. Or at least one.I once compared Congressman Bob Inglis, Republican from South Carolina (above), to British Prime Minister David Cameron. Inglis is a conservative who was defeated for renomination by tea party zealots. (Never mind the hype about Paul Ryan; this guy is the real deal -- the thinking man's conservative.) If anyone can bring the Republican Party back from the brink it will be someone like him.
Mother Jones has a piece about Inglis that's a must-read for anyone who still holds out hope for the two-party system.
