Quarterback Tom Fuessel (18) leads the Griffins. |
First let's have a look at each team's record so far. Here's the Vikings' (home teams in CAPS):
Homewood-Flossmoor 35, MARIAN CATHOLIC 7
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 35, Stevenson 27
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 21, Lincoln-Way Central 17
And now the Griffins':
LINCOLN-WAY EAST 31, Carmel 6
Lincoln-Way East 20, MONTINI 14
Lincoln-Way East 35, LOCKPORT 0
Now let's look at some recent history, shall we?
2011: Lincoln-Way East 38, HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 21
2010: LINCOLN-WAY EAST 31, Homewood-Flossmoor 21
2009: Lincoln-Way East 36, HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 0
2008: Lincoln-Way East 29, HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 0
*
2005: LINCOLN-WAY EAST 38, Homewood-Flossmoor 13
2004: Lincoln-Way East 24, HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR 0
See a pattern here?
I can't find the last time the Vikings beat the Griffins. And tomorrow night's game shouldn't be any different. That's why I decided to go to Glenbard West at Hinsdale Central instead. (Although I'm not sure that game will be any better.)
Am I making a mistake by not going to the Nazareth - Joliet Catholic game? Decisions, decisions...
Those are all a long way from glenview....
