My thoughts on Week Three? The Chicago papers were right about Prairie Ridge; MaxPreps was wrong. Mount Carmel, which defeated De La Salle (a team that hasn't had a winning record since 2009), still doesn't get any respect from MaxPreps, even though it is near the top in the local papers. And Waubonsie Valley has rocketed to the No. 4 spot on MaxPreps, while only garnering a No. 20 in the Sun-Times and a 19 in the Trib.
As for me, I'm leaning toward that Glenbard West-Hinsdale South game on Friday. It's closer, and I plan to be at Lincoln-Way East on the 28th for the Bolingbrook game. (They should both be undefeated.) Last year, I was at Bolingbrook to see the Raiders lose their only game of the year, to the Griffins of Lincoln-Way East. This one could be the Game of the Year.
And, of course, I'll be at Loyola on Saturday for the game against Providence. Should be a great weekend!
