And the United States is polarized.
I know you know that already. But I can't help saying it, because I can never remember a time when this country was so polarized, even during the Vietnam War years. It's gotten so bad, in fact, that I'm thinking of quitting Facebook. (Not really.) But it's getting really, really hard to talk to those on the other side of the political spectrum.
It used to be that each side had its own opinions. Then, each side had its own facts. Now, it seems, each side has its own reality.
Anyone see the Republican convention? (Did you hear Paul Ryan's speech?) Do you ever read your Republican friends' comments on Facebook? (One of mine even mentioned Saul Alinsky the other day. Saul Alinsky!)
Really, it's gotten so we can't even have a conversation.
