All told, Romney lists 37 holdovers from the George W. Bush administration — the very same administration he and all other Republican candidates barely referenced during their many debates because it was so discredited and toxic, even to the Republican base.
Remember 9/11 and Katrina? The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? Torture and Abu Ghraib? Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld? The anemic recovery and the squandered budget surpluses? Tax cuts for the rich and an unfunded Medicare drug entitlement? The financial crisis? (And anything else I'm forgetting?)
Are we really in a hurry to go back to all that? Really?
