Edgy Tim O'Halloran reports...

...in the Tribune this morning that 2012 might be Montini head football coach Chris Andriano's last year. Will offensive coordinator Lewis Borsellino, above, get the job?

The Broncos' offense sure looked impressive Saturday (and I haven't even finished watching the game yet), scoring 70 points against Joliet Catholic in the 5A final. Quarterback John Rhode passed for 587 yards (a 5A record) and seven touchdowns (a record for any class). His preferred receiver, Nebraska-bound Jordan Westerkamp, caught 11 passes for 331 yards and five touchdowns, the latter two both 5A records. And don't forget: Montini scored more points (24) on Loyola this year than anyone else, including 8A champion Bolingbrook. And that was without Rhode at quarterback.

The announcers for Saturday's game said Borsellino brought the spread offense to Montini. (And somebody lured Rhode away from Marian Catholic in his senior year.)

This guy's gotta get a head coaching job somewhere.
