I saw in the Times...

...that Michael Gough, the actor who played Alfred, the butler, in "Batman," died.

And I thought -- wait a minute -- that's not Alfred. This is Alfred:

Alan Napier played Alfred in the "Batman" television series in the 1960s.

Napier, by the way, was a cousin of Neville Chamberlain, Britain's prime minister from 1937 to 1940.
