...every Monday in the Business Day section of the Times. I try never to miss his column, not because I'm so interested in the media, but because he's such a good writer. (Carr's memoir, The Night of the Gun, above, is on my 2011 reading list.)
Today, however, I actually learned a thing or two:
* Online advertising revenue surpassed newspaper revenue for the first time last year; and
* The News Corporation [put] up a solid wall around The Sunday Times and The Times of London last year and the results were brutal -- an 86 percent decline in traffic to the site.
