Remember this guy?

He's Joe Walsh, tea party Republican candidate from the 8th District in Illinois. I met him at the Lake County Fair last July.

Yesterday, his Democratic opponent, Melissa Bean, conceded the election to him. Walsh's margin of victory? 291 votes out of more than 200,000 cast.

  1. Bean was too corporatist. Too "Blue Dog". These tea party folks talk populism and people think it means something good for them. I am willing to bet otherwise. I will be shocked(!) if any tea party folks EVER vote against the "regular" Republicans.
