Loyola Academy is entering...

...what could be its most challenging three week stretch of the 2010 season. The Ramblers travel to Lombard on Saturday night to square off against defending Class 5A state champion Montini. The Broncos are coming off a tough season-opening loss to No. 4 Joliet Catholic, 21-7, but should be ready for the North Siders.

Montini was ranked No. 16 in the Sun-Times preseason poll and No. 19 in the Tribune. The Broncos are still ranked in the Sun-Times after Week 1, at No. 22.

On September 10, the Ramblers will play at Providence (No. 15 in the Trib, 13 in the S-T) and will return to Wilmette on the 18th to host Mt. Carmel (No. 16 in the S-T).
